Hunted

Beauty is born with a knowledge of the Beast's woodland in her bones. She knows that the forest has secrets and that her father is the only hunter who has ever come close to finding them, even though she was raised among the wealthiest aristocracy in the city and far from her father's former lodge.

Yeva is thus secretly pleased when her father loses his riches and returns to the suburbs with her sisters. There's no pressure to marry a rich gentleman or engage in meaningless small talk with pretentious baronessas while you're out in the woods. Yeva's father may have lost his mind as a result of his tragedy, and when he vanishes in the woods, Yeva focuses her attention on the animal he had been chasing compulsively before he vanished.

Ignorant to her sisters' objections, Yeva pursues this odd Beast back into his own domain, which includes a wrecked castle, a cursed valley, and a realm inhabited by animals she has only ever heard about in fairy tales. A realm that may save her life or send her to disaster. Which one, the Beast or the Beauty, will live longer?
