Shadow of the Giant

The erstwhile right-hand man of Ender Wiggins, Bean, has lost his status as Battle School's tiniest student. After Ender defeated the alien civilization that invaded Earth, he served as a commander and strategist for the Hegemon throughout the dreadful battles that followed. He has never experienced a safe environment to raise a family, but he and his wife Petra now wish for one. However, there isn't such a location on Earth, a planet teeming with foes from Bean's past. He had to gaze to the heavens, just as Ender did, once again.
