The Hypnotist's Love Story

Ellen O'Farrell is a professional hypnotherapist who works out of the eccentric beachfront home she inherited from her grandparents. Aside from her turbulent past relationships, her life is pleasant. Ellen doesn't mind anything long-term at this point, but she's stoic about it. When she meets Patrick, she's optimistic. He's good-looking, unmarried, has a job, and most of all, he appears to like her too. And then it happens, the moment everyone fears: "He thinks they should have a talk."

Ellen, having prepared for the worst, is pleasantly pleased. As it happens, Patrick is being stalked by his ex-girlfriend. "Well, that's kind of interesting," remarks Ellen. She is seeing a worthy target for stalking. She's curious about the woman's intentions. She would even love to meet her, in fact.
