A Fire Endless

From East to West. Spirits and Humans. Tamerlaines and Breccans. The inhabitants and the Isle of Cadence have always been precariously balanced. However, in an attempt to assert control over all, Bane, the spirit of the North Wind, has now thrown everything and everyone in his path for a loop.

Adaira finds it difficult to adapt to the harsher, more acrimonious lifestyle of the Breccans in the West. As she tries to fit in with the clan, she quickly comes to the realisation that this may be the final position she wants to play. And although the Breccans in the west have easy success with magic, the spirits suffer under Bane's cruel influence, which is felt with every wind blow.

Without Adaira, Jack is lost and alone in the East until he sings to the fire spirits who are feeble as embers and receives a perilous task he never imagined. One that will take him towards the west. Similar to this, a fresh mystery engulfs Torin and Sidra as an illness first affects the crops before spreading to the Tamerlaine clan's members. Torin tries to make a deal with the spirits while Sidra is frantically trying to find a cure—a risky move that would have been foolish at any time, but particularly now since the days are becoming shorter.

As the island continues to spiral out of control, both spirits and humans will need to work together to defeat Bane, and Jack's harp talent will be needed once again. However, defeating the North Wind always comes at a great cost, and Jack, Adaira, Torin, and Sidra may not be able to make the necessary sacrifices this time.
