Alone

Twelve-year-old Maddie wakes up to a nightmare after she and her two best friends plan a covert overnight. She is left alone in a town that has been inexplicably abandoned and evacuated.

Maddie gradually learns how to exist on her own since she has no one to turn to, no electricity, no functional phone lines, and no internet connection. George, a Rottweiler, and all the books she can read are her sole friends. Following a difficult beginning, Maddie gains confidence in her own resourcefulness and devises cunning strategies for surviving in a forgotten and abandoned location.

She avoids looters, wild animals, and natural disasters throughout the course of several months. However, Maddie's daily struggle with debilitating loneliness is her greatest foe. Can Maddie go through the scariest event of her life with her unwavering determination to survive?
