I was almost frozen to death by the Seelie king Torin, but then I dived through a portal into my own home. It turns out that the Court of Sorrows, my homeland, is a ferocious Unseelie realm. Torin swiftly recognizes that his intended wife is an enemy of his land when he pursues me and notices my new horns. He really calls my sort "demon."

I'm not welcome here, however, even if I do have Unseelie horns. I am being tormented by Queen Mab and her terrifying warriors, who are happy to call me a traitor. The only thing we can do to survive in the Court of Sorrows is to remain as close to one another as we can, even if that means sharing a bed and riding away on horseback. Every second is precious because it can be our last since Torin is destined to destroy everyone he loves.
