Blackout

For a woman living on the brink, the dark is a scary mystery in this gripping psychological thriller.

The first blackout occurs for sociology professor Maris Heilman after seven arduous months of abstinence. She blames it on tiredness, but she worries that her husband and children will think she's back to drinking. No matter what causes them, the malfunctions start happening more often. Where have I been? is the perplexing question that haunts Maris whether it is minutes or longer.

Next, a new blackout puts Maris in the emergency room, where she discovers something unsettling. A group of ladies are fighting an unexplained illness together. Is it a strange coincidence or a sign of something darker? Aside from being late, what do all the ladies have in common? Or is it the people they are similar to?
