Nobody was spared from the final fight. Jaxon is changing into someone I don't recognise, Hudson has thrown up a wall I doubt I'll ever be able to get beyond, and Flint is upset with the world.

War is now imminent, and we are unprepared. If we want to win at all, we're going to need an army. But initially, there are some unanswered concerns about my forefathers. Responses that may simply point out which among us is the true monster.

And that's saying something in a world where eternal gargoyles, vicious vampires, and a vengeful war between two gods all exist.
