Dear Edward

Edward Adler, then twelve, his parents, his adored elder brother, and 183 other passengers board a plane at Newark on a July morning, bound for Los Angeles. A Wall Street sensation, a young woman adjusting to an unplanned pregnancy, a wounded veteran returning from Afghanistan, a septuagenarian business magnate, and a free-spirited lady fleeing her domineering husband are among them.
