Desert Heat

Joanna Brady is content with her life in the sleepy desert town of Bisbee. She is married to Andy, a local lawman who is a candidate for Cochise County Sheriff, and has a daughter named Jenny, who is nine years old. Andy is a dependable, trustworthy, and caring officer. However, a gunshot wrecks Andy Brady's future and leaves him dying in the scorching Arizona heat, upending her idyllic existence.

According to the police brass, Andy was involved in narcotics and smuggling activities up to his neck, and the shooting was an attempted suicide. When Joanna sees or hears a cover-up, she knows it's murder. However, she is seriously endangering herself and Jenny in her pursuit to find an assassin and clear her husband's reputation. Because a rattler's bite isn't always as deadly as the truth in the desert.
