Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood

Siddalee Walker, the eldest child of Ya-Ya superstar Vivi Abbott Walker, is interviewed by the New York Times on a popular play she directed, and her mother is called a "tap-dancing child abuser." Vivi disowns Sidda out of anger. Sidda is devastated and begs for forgiveness, calling off her impending nuptials. Everything seems hopeless until the Ya-Yas intervene and persuade Vivi to give Sidda a scrapbook titled "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," which contains their childhood memories. Sidda discovers the complicated beauty of flawed love and that the heart sometimes yearns for forgiveness more than comprehension as she battles to comprehend her mother.
