Can you maintain a lie?

This location that haunts me, the place that created me, is a ghost town.

I can see that I will never be able to outgrow Triple Falls or outlast my stay here.

My summertime lads are still very much with me.

I caved in even after sensing the threat.

I disregarded every caution. I let my illness and my love to control and destroy me. I did my share, keeping my eyes peeled and teasing destiny till it delivered.

There would never be a way out.

We are all responsible for what transpired. We're all here to serve our sentences. We were careless and reckless, thinking our youth made us indestructible, exempt from our sins, and it cost us all.

I've had enough of pretending that the majority of who I am is still hidden between the sea of trees that conceal my secrets and these hills and valleys.

That is the cause of my return. to accept my destiny with grace.

And if I can’t grieve enough to cure myself in my time here, I’ll remain sick. My curse will be that.

But it’s time to confess, to myself more so than any other, that I’d hindered my chances because of the way I was built, and because of the men who built me.

At this point, I just want to make peace with who I am, no matter what ending I get.

Because I can no longer live a lie.
