Lia Ward feels just as you would if you've ever had a passionate one-night fling with a British football star and then found out you were pregnant with his child.

To be fair, Lia didn't know who Jude McAllister was when they met.

While studying for her master's degree across the ocean for a semester, all she knows about him is that he's extremely charming and she's a touch lonely—even as they engage in an epically erotic dispute over which kind of football is better.

Jude believes that he has to shake the assertive American female. He has been battling both the passing of his venerable football career and the younger players vying for his spot. After letting his steam out with Lia, proving that he can feel like his old self again—something he's been attempting to achieve with everyone in his life—should be simpler.

But when Lia's pregnancy test results show a plus sign, well, that "one night" turns into a whole lot more.

Now Lia and Jude have to navigate their impossible-to-ignore chemistry, and prepare for the parenting game, something neither of them know how to play.
