A witty and delightfully realistic book about the stressful nature of marriage, the emotional toll it may have, and the extent one irate bridesmaid will go to show her pals how much they care.
Her mother's biggest fear is Lily Weiss because, horror of horrors!, she is thirty-two and unmarried. Although she works at a scientific foundation, her humdrum job conceals her potential as a writer. She ended up becoming a bridesmaid in five weddings in six weeks since her friends think she's trustworthy and unselfish. Anything for her two (younger) siblings and three closest pals, surely? She would prefer not to discuss her love life, even if it's going well for her. Lily needs a secure space to vent in order to maintain her sanity.
Thus, Bridesmania, her anonymous blog, is created. Her posts begin to flow: she starts talking about mom-zillas, her disappearing bank account, the evil bridesmaids of the West, tense brides, body-shaming dress clerks, bachelorette parties, and Spanx for days. She also talks about being appointed as Granny's guardian for her brother's destination wedding, which involves her enjoying morning mimosas in her underwear.
The blog has remained anonymous so far. However, as everyone is aware, not much on the internet stays hidden for long.
Can Lily ultimately assist all five of the couples in achieving their happily ever after? And will her happy ending follow soon after?
