Turn the crank. Glass. Crystal and ice. Whatever you choose to name it, it's still a monster. And once it has you under its control, this monster won't let go.
Kristina believes she is in charge of it. Now that she has a child to look after, she is determined to be in charge and make the decisions about when and how much to do. However, the creature is too powerful, and Kristina finds herself once again under its control. She needs the monster to persevere in order to handle the stresses of daily life. It gives her the sense of life.
Once again, the monster seizes control of Kristina's life, and she will stop at nothing to get it, even if it means giving up her baby, the only person who can really offer her the unconditional love she so desperately needs.
This is the continuation of Kristina's journey back to hell in Crank's sequel. It's a horrifying and unsettling look at addiction and the harm it causes, told in poetry.
