Katarina Bishop's parents brought her to the Louvre when she was three years old, just to check it out. Katarina went to Austria with her Uncle Eddie for her seventh birthday.to pilfer the jewels of the crown. Kat decided to leave the family company behind and planned her own con when she reached fifteen. She did this by deceiving her way into the top boarding school in the nation. Sadly, it turns out to be more difficult for her to leave "the life" behind and lead a regular life.

Hale, Kat's friend and erstwhile accomplice, soon makes an unexpected appearance to reunite Kat with the world she so desperately wanted to flee. He has a valid motive, though: a wealthy gangster has had his valuable art collection pilfered and is looking to get it back. Kat's father isn't just on the suspect list; he is the list. Only a great thief could have pulled off this operation. Kat's dad needs her assistance since he is torn between Interpol and a far more dangerous foe.

There is only one thing Kat can do: find the paintings and take them back. What does it matter if the work is utterly impossible? With a youthful crew, two weeks, and maybe enough skill, she should be able to pull off the largest robbery in her family's history and, fingers crossed, take her life back in the process.
