Hideaway Heart

All I wanted was a break; two weeks away from being the country music phenomenon Pixie Hart, and a whole fourteen days to myself as just Kelly Jo Sullivan.

However, because of some too enthusiastic photographers, my family won't allow me go alone, so I'm forced to share this little cabin with a tall, dark, bearded stranger.

And you know what? There's a single bed.

Sure, he's hotter than a stolen blow torch, and all that, but the guy also brings new meaning to the phrases. I can't even go a morning jog without him trailing along, or post a picture on social media without him telling me it's not safe.

However, he has made it plain that whatever he says is final, so I may bid my trip farewell.

I end up kissing him instead.

We were at one other's necks one minute and at each other's mercy the next. I have no idea how it occurred. The fact that we get along so well is even more surprising. I understand his desire for control, and he knows my need for independence.

But I find it difficult to trust people emotionally. Furthermore, our trajectories are quite divergent.

I would trust him with my life without hesitation.
