Hot Six

Stephanie Plum, a low-rent bounty hunter, has a level of personal experience that most female investigators will never match. In Hot Six, for instance, she has many terrible skin days, a cop's incontinent dog becomes her burden, and a string of brand-new, ugly automobiles crash into the ground. All of this is happening as she tries to deal with a wife-abusing bail defaulter who has terrible tendencies like lighting Stephanie on fire, evade the heavies pursuing her in the hopes of locating her lover Ranger, who is sometimes her boyfriend and is noticeably more capable, and prove him innocent of a mafia hit.
