Ilium

The Trojan War is raging at the base of Olympos Mons on Mars, watched and controlled from above by Zeus and his immortal family. Professor Thomas Hockenberry, a 21st-century figure, is there to participate in the cunning inner battles of jealous gods and goddesses. As four sentient machines leave Jovian space to investigate—or possibly end—the potentially catastrophic emissions emanating from a mountaintop miles above the terraformed surface of the Red Planet, a small group of the few surviving humans on Earth pursue a lost past and devastating truth.
