The release date for the English version of 'It's Kind of a Funny Story' by Ned Vizzini is May 2007. If you enjoy this novel, it is available for buy as a paperback from Barnes & Noble or Indigo, as an ebook on the Amazon Kindle store, or as an audiobook on Audible.

Craig Gilner, a driven adolescent from New York City, is committed to succeeding in life, which includes choosing the proper high school to get the perfect profession. However, the strain becomes intolerable after Craig is accepted into Manhattan's Executive Pre-Professional High School. He ceases to eat and sleep until he almost commits himself one night.

Following a suicidal episode, Craig is sent to a psychiatric institution where he meets new residents that include a self-elected President Armelio, a girl who has cut scars on her face, and a transgender sex addict. Craig is at last ready to face the origins of his uneasiness there.

Ned Vizzini, who was once sent to a mental health facility, has written an incredibly poignant story on the sometimes-unexpected path to happiness.
