Knife of Dreams

Men are dying unnatural deaths, the dead are rising, and reality itself seems to be in fragile shape: All of them point to the approaching Tarmon Gai'don, the Last Battle, in which humanity's lone chance, Rand al'Thor the Dragon Reborn, will have to face the Dark One. Rand, however, will not fight until he has dealt with the Seanchan, who pose a menace to every country this side of the Aryth Ocean and seem to be too strong to be defeated, and until he has all of the remaining seals on the Dark One's prison. But a betrayal that might cost him everything looms over his effort to call off the war with the Seanchan. But he needs that ceasefire, whatever the cost. He also poses additional risks.

Things that everyone thought would remain the same forever are changing right in front of their eyes as the winds of time turn into a storm. It's no longer safe to be in the White Tower itself. Now, in order to prevent the Dark One from winning, Rand, Perrin and Mat, Egwene and Elayne, Nynaeve and Lan, and even Loial, must ride those storm winds.
