Leaving Time

Jenna Metcalf has been wondering about her mother, Alice, who vanished inexplicably after a fatal accident, for almost ten years. Jenna, who doesn't think her mother left her, constantly looks for her online and leafs through Alice's old writings. Alice was a biologist who researched elephant sorrow; she wrote mostly about her study with the creatures she loved, but Jenna is hoping that some of the writings would point to her mother's whereabouts.

The narrative builds to an enthralling conclusion as Jenna's recollections mesh with the happenings documented in her mother's diaries.
