Nick, a self-exiled Legendborn with a personal vendetta against the gang, is recruited by her, and their uneasy alliance leads them further into the mysteries of society and closer to one another. Bree must choose whether to use her magic to overthrow the society or to join the battle when the Legendborn, who identify themselves as the heirs of King Arthur's knights, disclose that a magical war is imminent.
