Lizzie Blake's Best Mistake

Lizzie has committed many errors. You name it, she's done it: kitchen fires, pyramid scams, hair and human variation bangs... and ruined it as well. She's never made the mistake of allowing more than one hook-up to get too close to her. But when her uncontrollably hyperactive ADHD causes her to lose yet another bakery job, she defies her cardinal rule and experiences a two-night stand that transforms her life.

Rake is a twice shy, once burnt man who has given up on relationships. and emotions. and closeness in any form, really. But for some reason, he's letting his defenses down around the erratic, endearing Lizzie. Well, for two nights, anyhow. After that, he returns to Australia, distant from the bothersome emotions Lizzie withholds from him. He'll do everything to be involved in his child's upbringing, however, when Lizzie informs him she has an unexpected bun in the oven—aside from being emotionally open, of course. He promises never to repeat that error.

Through a string of unfortunate events, completely "platonic" single bed sharing, and a clandestine sensual baking plot, Lizzie and Rake discover that sometimes the largest errors can lead to the most exquisite outcomes.
