A thriller involving four strangers, a child abduction, a snowstorm, and a determined young lady who is out to expose and outsmart a nasty psychopath

A little girl abducted and imprisoned in a stranger's vehicle. Not a soul in miles. How would you respond?

College student Darby Thorne is stuck in a severe snowstorm in the Colorado highlands while travelling to Utah to see her ailing mother. She is compelled to wait out the storm in a distant highway rest area as the roads are blocked. There are four total strangers, a coffee maker, and a few vending machines inside.

In his desperation to get a signal to contact home, Darby ventures back out into the rain, only to discover something horrible. A little child is imprisoned in an animal cage at the rear of the van that is parked next to her vehicle.

Who is the young one? What made her disappear? How can Darby help her, then?

There's no phone service, no mobile phone signal, and no way out. A kidnapper is among her other travellers. Still, which one?

Darby had to figure out a method to free the girl from the vehicle and escape, as she is stuck in a terrible scenario where both her own life and the life of the kid are at stake.

Who, however, can she put her faith in?
