Little Bridge Island, Florida is set to experience the storm of a lifetime, and Sabrina "Bree" Beckham's romantic life is about to take a massive knock.

Bree Beckham, 25, is initially unconcerned when a powerful hurricane cuts off Little Bridge Island's power, cell service, and connection to the mainland. She looks ready for a cyclone since she has previously weathered one storm—her emotionally abusive ex.

But when Bree, who adores animals, learns how many islanders have been separated from their cherished pets, she does grow concerned. It is now her responsibility to save as many of Little Bridge's dogs and cats as she can, but in order to do so, she will require assistance, which she is forced to accept from Drew Hartwell, the sultry nephew of her boss and the most infamous heartbreaker at the Mermaid Café.

However, as Little Bridge's electricity is restored and her penitent ex appears, Bree begins to fall for Drew, and she is forced to consider whether or not her island fling was merely a product of the stormy weather or if it might also endure during clear skies.
