One Piece, Volume 1: Romance Dawn

This series, a recent shonen hit in Japan, centers on Monkey D. Luffy, whose primary goal in life is to become a pirate. He gains unique abilities by eating the gum-gum fruit, but he also brings about the fruit's curse, which prevents anybody from ever learning to swim. Still, Monkey sets off into the Seven Seas of daring adventure with his crewmate, the master of the three-sword combat method, Roronoa Zoro, in pursuit of the illusive prize known as "One Piece."
