Rebel of the Sands

The country of Miraji is ruled by mortals, yet mythological creatures still prowl the wild and isolated places, and there are rumours that djinn continue to work their sorcery elsewhere. It's a harsh world for people, particularly if you're a woman, impoverished person, or orphan.

All three are in Amani Al'Hiza. She is a skilled gunslinger with impeccable aim, but she is unable to escape Dustwalk, the little settlement in the backcountry where she will either die or be married.

Subsequently, she encounters Jin, an attractive foreigner, during a gunfight and perceives him as the ideal means of escape. Although she had been dreaming of leaving Dustwalk for years, she never would have believed that she would ride out on a legendary horse or that a foreign fugitive would be the one to reveal her the true nature of the desert she had supposed to be familiar.

Rebel of the Sands explores what happens when a dream postponed comes crashing down, in the form of a girl's all-consuming flame, love passion, and disobedience.
