They methodically ascend under the cover of assumed identities, getting closer and closer to the loot than before.

But the pair's secret has been discovered by someone in Tal Verrar. Someone from their history who is determined to get revenge on the haughty criminals for their transgressions. Now, to preserve their mercenary souls, every bit of cleverness will be needed. And that may not even be sufficient.
