Mercy Thompson is a fighter, shapeshifter, and mechanic.

Mercy Thompson, an auto technician, has always known there was something unique about her—it goes beyond her ability to get a Volkswagen engine to start and behave. Mercy's father passed away many years ago, yet she has the ability to shapeshift. She's also never met anybody else who is similar to her. Right now.

In the Columbia River's depths, terrible evil is brewing as Mercy comes to grips with this new knowledge. There's a dangerous threat approaching, information is sparse, and Mercy is uneasy. But maybe her father's folks have additional information. Mercy and her partner, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will need every resource available from the shifters if they are to have any chance of survival. Or the least of their concerns will be death.
