Rosemary and Rue

October "Toby" Daye is a half-human, half-fae changeling who has been an outcast from birth. Having been scorched by her lineage on both sides, Toby has turned away from the Faerie realm and is living a "normal" existence. Sadly, the Faerie world has different views than she has.

Toby returns to the land of the fairies after the murder of Countess Evening Winterrose. Unable to withstand Evening's last curse, which forces her to look into matters, Toby is forced to take up her previous role as a knight errant and reestablish previous ties. She knows that more than just her own life would be lost if she cannot track out Evening's murderer when she returns to fae society and interacts with a variety of individuals that are neither fully good nor evil.
