The book seems to hold secrets, and the fairies will stop at nothing to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. As if Mercy's attention needs more from that, her buddy Samuel is battling his wolf side and needs Mercy to step in so that his own father won't pronounce Samuel's life lost.
Overall, Mercy has had better times. And she may not have many more if she doesn't exercise caution.
