It's a dilemma for Rosie Graham. A couple, in fact. She just left her lucrative profession to concentrate on her covert work as a romance writer. She has awful writer's block right now and hasn't notified her family. Subsequently, her New York apartment's ceiling physically collapses onto her. Fortunately, she has Lina, her closest friend,'s extra key while she's away. However, Rosie is unaware that Lina has already given her cousin Lucas, whom Rosie has been, for want of a better term, obsessing over on Instagram for the last several months, the keys to Lina's apartment. Lucas seems determined to save her, like to a Spanish hero in shining armor. Only this one, with the tempting accent, the beguiling smile, and the walking about all dressed in towels. Rosie is offered the chance to live with Lucas, at least while she looks for reasonably priced interim accommodation. Then, in an attempt to fulfill her deadline and revive her creative inspiration, he suggests an absurd experiment: he would take her on a series of test dates designed to spark her love side. Nothing is at stake for Rosie. She is completely in charge of her ridiculous internet obsession, but Lucas's stay in New York is limited, and six weeks may not be long enough for her or her deadline.
