The Guilt Trip

After meeting at university, Rachel and Noah have been friends ever since. Twenty years later, after their initial romantic notions of becoming something more, they are now happily married to different individuals, Jack and Paige, respectively. The six of them head to Portugal for their destination weekend, where Jack's brother Will is getting married to the bright, impetuous Ali.

They attempt to settle in for a fun-filled weekend when they arrive at a stunning property positioned on a cliff-edge, overlooking huge waves that crash on the well-known surfing beaches below at Nazaré. Rachel is eager to get to know Ali, her prospective sister-in-law, better, but Ali can't help but irritate a lot of the group: While Jack is attempting to back his brother Will's wife selection, he is also finding enough with which to disagree with Noah. Paige, Rachel's best friend, believes that Ali is attention-seeking and immature.

One deadly miscommunication...

However, everything changes when Rachel learns something about Ali that she finds almost unbelievable. The secrets they all harbor start to surface over the course of the wedding weekend, endangering both friendships and marriages. Before long, making snap judgments can mean the difference between life and death.
