The Haunting of Hill House

It tells the tale of four adventurers who come across Hill House, a famously hostile pile: Theodora, the cheerful assistant; Eleanor, a delicate and amiable young lady who is familiar with poltergeists; Dr. Montague, an esoteric professor searching for concrete proof of a "haunting"; and Luke, the heir apparent to Hill House in the future. Their visit initially seems to be limited to a terrifying run-in with unexplained events. However, Hill House is amassing power, and it will soon choose one to claim as its own.
