The Honk and Holler Opening Soon

Caney Paxton intended for his café to have the largest and most eye-catching sign in Eastern Oklahoma; the "opening soon" text was just intended to be a painted, detachable notification. However, Caney, a veteran of the Vietnam War, became the state's most colorful joke due to a fatal miscommunication. Twelve years later, the sign is as worn out as Caney, who hasn't left the restaurant since it opened, and the once-busty roadway has died.
