All that was intended to happen was a family vacation.

A horrific catastrophe altered everything.

Before they come for your family, you have no idea what you are capable of.

Heather Baxter moves to Seattle from a tiny rural village and marries Tom, a widower physician with a teenage daughter and a baby son. When the new family travels to the Australian outback, they expect a working holiday that would bring them closer together, but when they arrive, they find that their jet-lagged and tired children have grown tired of their new mother.

The family braves an adventure away from iPhones and Instagram when they learn that the isolated Dutch Island is closed to foreign guests and talks their way onboard the vessel.

However, everything seems off as soon as they step foot on the island, which is governed by a close-knit group of residents. Subsequently, a startling mishap turns the Baxters' uncomfortable circumstances into a living hell.

Heather and the children must make their own getaway, getting away from Tom just in time to avoid being caught by their assailants.

Now that the children don't trust her, the harsh bushland is dangerous, and the villagers want her dead, it is up to Heather to preserve herself and the children.

Though Heather has always been undervalued, she is aware that only she has the power to reunite her family and take on the role of mother that the kids so sorely need, even if it takes going to the extreme to keep them all alive.
