The Keeper of Stories

She doesn't know what first sparked her collecting. Perhaps it was in a snippet of speech she overheard while sanitizing a sink? She soon discovered that individuals were sharing their experiences with her when she was dusting a living room or defrosting a refrigerator. Maybe they always have, but suddenly things are different; the tales are coming to her and she is gathering them.

Janice finds someone who is interested in hearing her tale when she begins housecleaning for Mrs. B, a cunning and cunning lady in her nineties. Janice, however, is unambiguous: she is the storykeeper, not the storyteller. Not one she can share, anyhow.

Being a wise woman, Mrs. B is aware that Janice is not what she seems. What does she conceal? Everyone has a tale to share, after all.
