Emma Davis was a summer camper fifteen years ago when she drowsedly saw her three cabin mates steal out of their cabin in the middle of the night. Emma was silenced by Vivian as she shut the cabin door behind her and put her finger to her lips. That was the last thing she, or anybody else, saw of them.

Emma transforms her history into paintings and is becoming a rising star in the NYC art world. They draw the notice of Francesca Harris-White, the affluent and glamorous owner of the same Camp Nightingale. Emma sees a chance to move on and find closure when Francesca begs Emma to return to the camp as a painting counsellor.

However, it becomes evident straight away that something is wrong at Camp Nightingale. Emma is already troubled by memories that are coming back to her, but now she also has to deal with a surveillance camera facing her cabin, growing suspicion from Francesca, and—most unsettling of all—cryptic hints Vivian may have left regarding the camp's sinister beginnings. Emma must contend with challenges from both man and nature in order to unearth all the hidden mysteries, including the truth about what really transpired all those years ago, as history starts to repeat itself and three girls disappear once again.
