Hennessy comes out to defend a prominent man in South Carolina who is accused of having stolen artwork. However, Hennessy discovers that the criminal accusations are only the beginning of their issues as he examines the evidence and navigates the truth.

Hennessy agrees to defend a young lady accused of fatally killing her ex-boyfriend out of a fit of fury, despite his heavy schedule. Hennessy learns throughout his trial preparations that the matter is more complex than the prosecution has claimed.

Hennessy battles to establish the innocence of his clients as the cases take unexpected turns. But Hennessy has to take one of the riskiest chances of his life to reveal the truth.

Can he make sure justice is done? Or will he die young as a result of the cases?
