The Young Elites

I'm sick of being ignored, mistreated, and exploited.

Adelina Amouteru is one of the blood fever survivors. The devastating sickness ravaged her country ten years ago. Many of the children that survived the infection had unusual marks on them, but the majority of the affected died. Adelina's lashes became pale, her black hair turned silver, and all that's left of her left eye is a jagged scar. Her ruthless father thinks she is an aberration and a malfetto who will destroy their family's reputation and obstruct their prosperity. Though their names are still unknown, some of the fever's survivors are said to be more than merely scarred; they are said to have unusual and potent abilities, and they have come to be known as the Young Elites.

Teren Santoro is employed by the monarch. It is his responsibility as the Leader of the Inquisition Axis to track down and eliminate the Young Elites before they devastate the country. Though he thinks the Young Elites are vicious and deadly, Teren could be hiding the greatest secret of all.

Enzo Valenciano is a Dagger Society member. This Young Elites covert cult looks for additional members of their kind before the Inquisition Axis does. However, the Daggers locate Adelina and someone with abilities they have never seen before.

Adelina would like to think Teren is the real adversary and that Enzo is on her side. However, while each of these three battles a unique and personal war, their lives will unexpectedly intertwine. All of them agree on one thing, though: Adelina has powers that aren't supposed to be there. A darkness of vengeance in her heart. And a will to annihilate everyone who dared to stand in her way.
