Track of the Cat

In order to serve as a ranger in the nation's national parks, Anna Pigeon left behind both her memories and New York. But what she finds in the isolated outback of West Texas is violence and murder. Sheila Drury, a fellow park ranger, is slain inexplicably, most likely by a mountain lion. However, the paw prints all over the corpse and the severe claw wounds Anna discovers on Drury's neck are too good to be true.
