Young and driven, Philomena McCarthy works for London's prestigious Metropolitan Police. Upon responding to a report about domestic violence, she discovers that the victim, Tempe Brown, is attempting to shield her abuser, Darren Goodall, a married and highly skilled Scotland Yard investigator who is fearless.
