Wish You Well

Louisa Mae Cardinal, twelve, is a bright child who lives with her family in 1940s frenetic New York City. After a tragic event, Lou and her younger brother Oz are forced to move in with their mother, who is disabled, to live on their great-grandmother's farm in the mountains of Virginia. Lou finds herself abruptly maturing in a new environment, meeting her first real friend, and going on sad, humorous, and daring experiences. However, the forces of justice and greed are about to collide over her new house; the outcome of this battle, which will take place in a packed Virginia courtroom, will decide the fate of two kids, a community, and the mountains they all adore.
